Laser Engraving & Cutting for Control Panels (Canada)
Precision legend plates, faceplates, graphic overlays and full control panels — engineered for harsh service. We run a modern CO2/fiber-capable system with an ≈800 × 500 mm class bed (≈32″ × 20″), high scan speed, air assist, vacuum table and pinned registration jigs for crisp edges and repeatability. Pickup at 189 Janice St, North Bay, ON or ship Canada-wide.
What we manufacture
Control panel faceplates, HMI/graphic overlays, legend plates, ID/nameplates, mimic panels, valve tags, breaker panels, serialized rating plates and multi-layer assemblies with PSA backers or hardware.
Plastic engraving (2-ply/3-ply)
High-contrast legends by removing the cap layer. Indoor/outdoor grades; colour-stable text.
Overlays (polycarbonate / polyester)
10–20 mil PC, 5–10 mil PET; hard-coat windows; dead-front indicators; industrial adhesives.
Metals (anodized Al / SS)
Fine fiber-marking for small text & barcodes; abrasion/solvent resistance with controlled heat input.
Materials, processes & tolerances
Engraving laminates
- Thickness: 0.8–1.6 mm (1/32–1/16″); UV-stable outdoor grades.
- Cap/core: high-contrast pairs (black/white, white/black, yellow/black).
- Backers: PSA or bare for hardware.
Laser processes
- CO2 raster for legends; CO2 vector for profiles & cutouts.
- Fiber marking on anodized Al/SS for durable contrast and fine codes.
- Kerf ref.: ~0.1–0.2 mm; corner radii ≥1.0 mm unless specified.
Fidelity & finish
- Min line ≥0.2 mm; min text ≥1.5 mm (plastics) / ≈1.2 mm (metals).
- Typical tolerance: ±0.25 mm (±0.010″); tighter per review.
- Clean, soot-free edges via tuned passes, focus and air assist; light deburr.
